I’m not about that “no feelings” shit. Fuck that. I feel deeply. I have a heart. I’m human. Things affect me dude.

What to do if witchcraft suddenly gets way too intense
1. FINISH WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
► DO NOT walk away from an uncompleted ritual
► DO NOT walk away in the middle of a spell
Grab your notes and close everything down. Dismiss any spirits or entities you are working with. Close down the circle. End the ritual. Diffuse the energy of the spell and close it down. If you were enchanting an item, announce over it that it is closed and nothing more may come in or out.
Spells and rituals are little portals of power; if you leave one open without closing it, all sorts of things could get screwy and come through.
2. End any spooky/witchy atmosphere immediately.
- Blow out all the candles.
- Put out all the incense.
- Turn on all the lights.
- Turn off spooky chanting music. Turn on some happy music or better yet, a non-supernatural television show or movie you love.
- If you were enchanting an item, immediately put it in salt.
3. Don’t destroy the items/notes you will need later.
Trust me, do not throw away the spell you wrote or the objects you were working on. If things go wrong in the future you will need these to fix the problem.
► Immediately write down exactly what happened. Write down every deviation from the spell that you did. Write down exactly what you said and saw during any visualizations. Write down exactly when things started to get freaky.
► If you were enchanting an item, keep it in a black bag filled with salt until you are ready to deal with it.
4. Cleanse.
Use an energy cannonball to purify the space you were working in. Burn rosemary and bay leaves to fumigate the area, or spritz a premade water solution if you can’t have smoke. Pay special attention to all ritual tools.
If you feel the need to, cleanse yourself by visualizing the power of the smoke enveloping you and driving away any bad vibes; or take a shower if you really feel something has gone wrong.
5. Get out of the area you were working in.
Go to another room. Leave the house if possible. Seek the company of others or turn on the television if you are alone.
6. Do mundane things for a while.
Eat a nice meal. Drink a big glass of water. Go for a jog. Do some chores. Put anything magical totally out of your head. Absolutely do not focus on how weird things just got.
7. When you are ready, return to the area you were working in.
Relax yourself and judge the energies within the room. Are things still ‘creepy’? A heavy-duty cleansing is in order. Do you feel as if someone else is there? Open a window and command it to leave - if it does not, more fumigation or a banishing is required.
Judge your ritual tools and determine if they will need additional cleansing. If you were working on an object, determine if it has been corrupted or if anything is wrong with it. If so, put it back in the salt and deal with it as soon as you can.
8. Take a break from witchcraft for a couple of days.
9. Figure out what went wrong.
Fear is never a good thing. There is a difference between embracing the darkness and being afraid.
► Fear can be caused if an entity showed up you were unprepared to deal with.
► Fear can be caused if your intuition (or perhaps a spirit ally) was warning you that what you were about to do was a really bad idea.
► Fear can be caused if you tap in to powers that overwhelm you.
You need to figure out what went wrong. It isn’t a situation where you can say “oh well” and try something else later - because you screwed up, and next time you may not get an adequate warning before things go to hell.
Very important stuff!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read this, save this, etc!! It’s VERY important!! Before coming across this post, I had this very thing happen….. I’m in the middle of casting, within my circle, & I got this OVERWHELMING feeling of fear, terror, MORE than just one feeling, & I didn’t know what to do. I froze & the only thing that I could think was….“What should I do? Do I break my circle, or cut it, or just flat out get the hell outta here?? It was VERY scary!! Then, just like the blog tells you, I wasn’t sure what to do with my spell & spell items.
I hope this doesn’t happen to a lot of Witches, but the risk is there if your casting and/or working with spirits. So plz, just be MINDFUL of WHAT you’re doing, & the ATMOSPHERE around you!! And ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN OR A “BACKDOOR” OUT!! 😊👍🏻❤️🔮

Just a reminder that Venus rx doesn’t create problems in relationship, it brings to the surface problems that were already there and you were trying to avoid/not to see. People show their true colors during this time and any unresolved issues between you and your partner will show up. The only reason you’d have to worry is if you have actually been avoiding a problem/frustration in your relationships.

gentle reminder for women: you (we) were worshiped and adored long before any male-assigned deity was. it wasn’t He, it was She. it wasn’t Him, it was Her. it wasn’t God, it was The Goddess. modern patriarchal religion serves the purpose of erasing women’s herstory as loved, adored, supported, revered givers of life. temples were covered with images of worshiping you. your connection with the lunar cycle was viewed as earthly affirmation of your status as the Creator.
it was never supposed to be a man.
harsh reminder: 👏🏻 women 👏🏼 are👏🏽 fucking 👏🏾 Goddesses👏🏿

“More and more I found myself at a loss for words and didn’t want to hear other people talking either. Their conversations seemed false and empty. I preferred to look at the sea, which said nothing and never made you feel alone.”

Self-Care Tips for Witches: The Four Seasons

For those who dabble in the vast and alluring world of magick, it is a normal and beautiful thing to to feel connected to certain times of the year. In this day and age, we are also so connected - literally! - to social media, and to technology in general. Because of this, it is easy to become distracted, but we can gently pull ourselves back to the beauty of nature: It is enchanting, it is endless, and it is where we came from. During those times in which you wish to feel better connected to a favourite season and to nurture your natural love for such a special time, feel free to look to the following tips for a few ideas! 🍂❄🌸☀
• Spring - “Springtime is the land awakening.” - Lewis Grizzard
♡ Begin the season by writing out a detailed list of what makes your heart bloom. Is it a favourite song? A line in a book? Perhaps a special route to walk upon? There are no boundaries! Add fuel to your soul by reminiscing on all the things which make you blossom, just like the flowers.
♡ Keep a new plant - a succulent, for example, is quite simple to maintain + take care of! Each time you water your plant, have a tall glass of refreshing water for yourself, too. Speak to your plant, encourage its growth, and be inspired by its progress!
♡ Bring a special “Spring Stone” with you wherever you go. This could be a flat rock engraved with a word that inspires you (a “Worry Stone,” as they are often called); a favourite type of crystal, or even a found rock which you have painted or written a symbol // word // sigil upon. Let your Spring Stone add a ~spring~ to your step, rubbing it between your thumb and forefinger for a boost of energy!
• Summer - “Summertime is always the best of what might be.” - Charles Bowden
♡ Staying hydrated is of utmost importance, and - as a witch - even something as simple as this can be made to feel extra-magical! Beneath the power of the sun, safely charge a glass water bottle with our daytime Sky Mother’s energies. Read up on safely adding crystals to liquids, drink water with more minerals, or consider making your own Sun Tea!
♡ Spend time in or near the water. Any chance you get, embrace the many different bodies of water which we are so blessed to have access to - oceans, lakes, rivers, streams. Sit beside water to recharge, or swim within it; feeling its power encompass you, purify you, and cool you down. (And of course, be sure to take care of your skin during any exposure to sun! Sunbathing is something to try out, also; so as long as you are practicing mindful skincare + being absolutely sure to protect yourself. :-)
♡ Purchase or create your own Summertime candles. (Beeswax candles, for example, are great - Not only will they help you to feel better connected to Summer, but they also give off negative ions, which assist in the neutralization of air pollutants.) Designating a special candle to embracing light + being inspired by its fiery radiance is key. And if creating your own candles, consider adding things like Sweet Grass or Sandalwood oil to the wax content!
• Autumn - “Autumn… the year’s last, loveliest smile.”- William Cullen Bryant
♡ Begin writing in a journal, keeping track of all the negative things that you’ve let go with time. Much like with Springtime - which is about allowing yourself to bloom - Autumn is the perfect time for the ~shedding~ of inner demons, or any little things which are only holding you back. Seek solitude within the boundaries of your diary, writing down even just one line a day. (Bonus: Press leaves within the pages!)
♡ Add a little pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to your morning tea or coffee - Or even to a burning candle! It’s a small thing, but there’s absolutely a hint of self-love within partaking in such a little practice, and these scents are - let’s face it - quite reminiscent of those special Autumn days. Cinnamon is symbolic of love and success (and, when ingested, contains many antioxidants to aide with inner healing.) Nutmeg represents luck, and is also heavily associated with the holiday of Samhain! Simple ritualistic practices such as this take little to no time at all, and may allow you to feel that much more connected to the season of Fall.
♡ Create a “Branch Lamp!” Collect fallen branches or sticks (upon asking permission, of course), bring them home, bundle them together, and string them with fairy lights. Feel free to also paint them with orange and yellow hues or decorate them with leaves, pouring the energy which Autumn fills you wish whilst doing do! Turn on your little light source whenever you desire the vibrations of the most witchy time of year. After all, self-care can absolutely include surrounding yourself with things that bring out your most magical energies!
• Winter - “How many lessons of faith and beauty we should lose, if there were no Winter in our year.” -Thomas Wentworth Higginson
♡ Draw a little snowflake near a favourite part of your space. Doodling a tiny one upon the corner of your dresser; drawing one on your wrist; even going the extra mile and sewing a snowflake pattern on the inside of your favourite sweater - Use this as a special little energizer. Each time you see your snowflake, be reminded of how unique and lovely you are, simply by being you.
♡ Create a Winter Energy Globe! In a small, transparent ornament (or even a small bottle or jar), add in things like pine needles, cinnamon sticks, white glitter, or small stones. Whilst creating your small Winter wonderland, reflect on the underlooked power of this season, and the beauty of things coming to an end and beginning anew. Allow your positive intent to gently flow into this project, not unlike snowflakes upon the ground.
♡ Inspired by fresh snowfall and its breathtaking purity, keep a dish of salt, a few sprinkles of decorative snow, and quartz crystals near your place of rest. Allow the presence of salt to protect you, the sight of glittering faux-snow to enchant you, and the flowing energies of quartz to inspire you. There is often so much to be cleansed, and the period of Winter is a truly wonderful time for such - And you may feel inspired to carry this essence with you, all-year round. 😌🙏
✨ Bonus: Music for healing!
… and more. ♡
